This handcrafted violin by Wang Peiyu is modeled after the legendary 1744 Guarneri del Gesù ‘de Bériot’, one of the most celebrated violins ever created by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù.

Built in Wang Peiyu’s workshop in Shandong, China, this instrument combines traditional Cremonese design with the expertise of a maker whose career has included the restoration of hundreds of fine European violins and service work for musicians of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

About the Maker

Wang Peiyu began studying violin making in Shanghai in 2003 under Master Wang Jianhua. He later spent seven years in Singapore specializing in restoration before pursuing advanced studies in the United States. Today, he operates his own workshop dedicated to producing fine handmade violins.

In recognition of his craftsmanship, Wang Peiyu was recently named a Top 5 Finalist in the 4th G.B. Guadagnini International Violin Making Competition.
